Today, the 18th of Nissan, is the birthday of the Rebbe’s saintly father,
Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson. He was the Chief Rabbi of Yekaterinoslav, a chassid, a kabbalist, and a prolific writer; and the Rebbe often quoted and mentioned teachings in his name. JEMCentral presents several clips of the Rebbe, in reference to his father.
Watch the Rebbe lead the singing of his father’s favorite niggun, draw a lesson from his father’s name in his address to the campers of Gan Yisrael on the anniversary of his father’s passing, and hear a story of a family encounter with “Reb Levik.”
