Each time the Rebbe distributed dollars, individuals were touched and lives were impacted. Presented here are photos of several highlights and encounters from Sunday Dollars of 7 Av 1990 (5750).
From the spring of 1986 on, every Sunday, the Rebbe would stand and distribute dollars, to be given to charity, to anyone who came by his door. Thousands stood in line each week, and to every person he received, the Rebbe offered a blessing, some encouragement, or a word of advice.
The Sunday of 7 Av 1990 was no different. The Rebbe saw countless people from all walks of life and had time for them all – including an expecting mother, an Israeli general, a popular author, and a non-religious teenager, among others.

The Rebbe responds, “nevertheless, every person needs blessings, as I need, Rabbi Kanelsky needs and all Jews need, the main thing is to have Moshiach now. Bracha V’hatzlacha, for the extra blessing.”
Rabbi Simcha Ashlag asks the Rebbe for a blessing that there be no “bad” in Israel. The Rebbe responds: “It is impossible for there to be any ‘bad’ in the Land of Israel. May there be revealed and obvious good, with peace of body and mind to study Torah’s revealed and inner dimensions.”
Author Shlomo Nakdimon asks the Rebbe if he is satisfied with the Israeli government.
