Brooklyn, NY – JEM (Jewish Educational Media) is proud to announce the upcoming launch of a groundbreaking AI-powered guide, a revolutionary tool designed to transform the way users explore the recorded teachings, wisdom, and life of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory. This initiative marks a significant milestone in making this priceless material more accessible than ever before.
Rabbi Schneerson (1902–1994), leader of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, is regarded as the most influential Jewish leader of the 20th century. His emphasis on leveraging technology and innovation to spread his teachings led to the creation of an extensive library of recordings, preserving his spirit and wisdom for generations to come.
At present, the AI-driven system, powered by a sophisticated Large Language Model (LLM), is undergoing final evaluation by scholars, researchers, and a representative test group. The beta version will soon be made available to members of JEMClub followed by a phased rollout to the general public.
The intelligent guide enables users to make conversational queries and receive highly relevant results, including concise AI-generated responses. Summaries and direct links allow users to instantly access all discovered sources—whether a video recording of the Rebbe or a first-person account of an encounter with him. By providing immediate access to the precise point in the original source, the veracity and reliability of the information is assured, allowing users to explore the Rebbe’s teachings with confidence.
The AI guide is built upon JEM’s extensive library of archival recordings and films, translated and produced over the past three decades. The thousands of hours of film and video production, made possible through the generosity of JEM’s supporters and members, has created an unparalleled resource for anyone seeking to learn from and be inspired by the Rebbe’s timeless messages.
The AI initiative was generously funded by Mr. Igor Tulchinsky and the members of the JEM Foundation. The Rohr Family Foundation and Benyamin Federman provided lead funding for the Living Archive preservation project. The source materials are supplemented by guides and metadata developed by a group of scholars over a period of several years. This tagging effort was supported by the Grinshtein Family, Eliyahu and Inna Kholodenko, George and Pamela Rohr, and Zusha and Shulamis Tenenbaum. Their generosity and foresight laid the foundation that made this historic leap forward a reality.
With the launch of the guide, users will now have access to an experience that is both more personal and more extensive than ever before, immersing themselves in the Rebbe’s words, directly from him, as they were originally delivered. This unlocks new possibilities in the study, understanding, and appreciation of the Rebbe and his wisdom.
